The Ekiti State Independent National Electoral Commission has revealed the results of the state’s presidential election.

Professor Akeem Lasisi, INEC Collation Officer and Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila Orangun, Osun State, announced the results at the state Collation Centre in Ado Ekiti after collation officials from the 16 council Areas presented their results one by one.

He explained that, among the 18 recognized political parties that participated in the exercise, the APC received the most votes, totaling two thousand four hundred and ninety-four.

According to Professor Lasisi, the total number of votes cast was 314 thousand, 478 ballots were rejected, and over 6,000 votes were rejected.

He stated that Ekiti State had 986,747 registered voters, with 315,058 of them being accredited for the election.

Professor Ayobami Salami, INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, thanked all stakeholders for their assistance in ensuring the peaceful conduct of the election.

At the state Collation Centre, all of the party agents signed the result sheets and received one copy each.
