The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has claimed that President-elect Bola Tinubu’s campaign staff admitted to rigging the presidential election last Saturday.
Atiku said he was requesting that the presidential election be canceled because Tinubu’s campaign staff admitted the voting was manipulated.
He stated that Tinubu’s presidential campaign team’s admission that there was rigging in the southeast was evidence of abnormalities in the election.
This was said by the PDP’s flag bearer in a statement issued by his spokesman, Phrank Shaibu.

He bemoaned Tinubu’s campaign team’s refusal to stop attacking and mocking Nigerians despite stolen their mandate.
Atiku insisted that Tinubu’s defeat in Lagos demonstrated that Nigerians do not want him.
The statement reads: “Festus Keyamo’s claim that there was massive rigging in the southeast and that the APC will be challenging the votes in that region validates our position that this election was fraught with irregularities.
“Is it not funny that Tinubu claimed he wanted to replicate the developments of Lagos across Nigeria, and yet the same people of Lagos rejected him at the poll?
“He and his minions unleashed thugs on the people of the state and yet still lost.”
