Tinubu, a Muslim from the South West, ran the race alongside Kashim Shettima, a Muslim from Nigeria’s Northern area.

On Saturday, Okowa instilled dread by declaring that a Muslim-Muslim president was not God’s plan for Nigeria.

“It is not the will of God that the Chapel in Aso Rock will be closed for four years as a result of the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the APC,” Okowa had said.

However, Fani- Kayode quickly responded on Twitter, assuring the public that the chapel will not be closed because the President-wife, elect’s Oluremi Tinubu, is a pastor.
