On March 9, a businesswoman brought her spouse before a traditional court in Nyanya, Abuja, for allegedly withholding her marital rights.
Mrs. Joy Abu, who resides in Abuja’s Jikwoyi neighborhood, also charged her husband Daniel with being careless.
She said that she is requesting a divorce since her spouse does not care about her or their children.
“My husband has essentially denied me of my conjugal rights; he doesn’t care to know how I feel, and he doesn’t realize that marriage is about more than just food,” she stated.

“A responsible guy will also take care of his wife’s emotional needs.”
She prayed the court to grant her divorce, the custody of the children and compel her husband to pay N100,000 per month for the upkeep of their children.
Daniel denied all the allegations.
The Judge, Labaran Gusau, adjourned the matter to March 30.
