The All Progressives Congress (APC) won eight of Ebonyi’s ten local government areas, according to results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday.
Francis Nwifuru of the APC, Ifeanyi Odii of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Bernard Odo of the All Progressive Grand Alliance are the main competitors in the governorship campaign (APGA).
APC Members Defects To PDP In Ebonyi State
Ebonyi, Ivo, Ezza North, Izzi, Afikpo South, Ohaozara, Ohaukwu, and Abakaliki were won by the APC, while Ezza South and APGA Onicha were won by the PDP.
Ebonyi is divided into 13 local government areas.
Onyeka Ugochi, the state Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), stated that the remaining LGAs of Ikwo, Afikpo North, and Ishielu will be announced once the results were ready.
