As of the publication of this report, five political parties in Nigeria had filed suit at the Presidential Election Court challenging Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress’ victory.
The following parties are listed: Allied Peoples Movement (against Independent National Electoral Commission, All Progressives Congress, Tinubu Bola Ahmed, Kashim Shettima and Kabir Masari).
Against INEC, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, and Hamza Al-Mustapha are Action Alliance and Solomon David Okanigbuan.
People’s Action Party (against Bola Tinubu, All Progressives Congress, INEC).
The Labour Party’s Peter Obi filed a similar complaint before the tribunal against Tinubu, INEC, and the ruling APC.
Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party is the fifth petitioner to file a petition against Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress and the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The respondents will have the option to react to the petitions filed against them, while the court will decide the merits of the issue at hand.
According to newsmen, since the Presidential Election Court Registry was opened for litigation following Tinubu’s election victory, a number of foreign officials have attended poll hearings to learn about the petitions submitted thus far.
