Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council International, the apex Igbo soci-cultural organization, has urged the upcoming 10th Senate to zone the role of Senate President to either Southeast or Southsouth.
Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, National President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council International, made this declaration available to journalists on Thursday in Enugu.
Okwu said that while there are skilled hands in both geographical zones, efforts must be taken to make the new administration all-encompassing.

“There are ranking Senators from both zones with significant leadership experience to provide a robust and dynamic leadership for the 10th Senate,” according to the organization.
“We are very confident the likes of Senator Godswill Akpabio and other ranking Senators in the zones will no doubt bring quality Senate leadership. We strongly believe that the interest of Ndigbo will be protected.
“We urge the APC leadership and the senators-elect to look the way of the two zones in making this choice.”
