As Easter activities begin, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 election, has encouraged Christians to give the country to God in prayer.
The former Anambra State Governor also urged Nigerians to utilize Good Friday as an opportunity to reflect on their life on Earth.
Obi encouraged Christians on Friday via his verified Twitter handle that the road of the cross is the way to triumph.

He wrote, “The commemoration of Good Friday presents us the opportunity for sober reflections on our lives on earth. Today, we are reminded that the way of the cross is the way to victory. I urge our Christian brethren to present our nation to God in prayer. May God heal our land.”
However, the LP flagbearer has stated that it is time to continue his charity activities in the country.
According to news sources, the former Governor of Anambra promised to continue his humanitarian gestures to schools and hospitals, which had to be put on hold owing to political campaigns, in a series of tweets via his verified Twitter account on Thursday.
Obi stated that his engagement in schools and hospitals came after the 2023 elections as part of his efforts to invest in human capital development in the country and upgrade infrastructure in such public institutions.
