Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has stated that former Senator Dino Melaye is unfit and incompetent to be the future Governor of Kogi State.
According to news sources, Wike announced this during a media briefing on Tuesday in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
Recall that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) screening committee cleared Melaye, Reuben Atabo (SAN), and eight other candidates for its ticket in the upcoming Kogi State governorship election.

Others include Engr. Musa Wada, Sen. Atai Aidoko Ali, Barr. Mohammed Kabiru Usman, Abayomi Awoniyi, Bolufemi Olarotimi, Abdullahi Haruna (SAN), Gideon Ojata, and Idoko Kingsley Ilonah are among those who have spoken out.
Wike declared that the former Kogi West lawmaker is unfit to be the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the upcoming election.
Melaye, according to the governor, is a “actor” with no qualifications to lead the people of North Central State.
