According to the Department of State Services (DSS), it has detained two armed gunmen in Kano state.

The DSS spokesperson, Peter Afunanya, reportedly stated that the gunmen were apprehended on Thursday.

The suspects were on their way to deliver the weapons for a planned attack in one of the states in northern Nigeria, the secret police spokeswoman claimed.

Two AK-47 assault rifles, two empty AK-47 magazines, a red boxer motorcycle, and a sack of yams—where the weapons were hidden—were all taken, according to Afunanya.
