The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has responded to the claim that it suspended Ifunanya Delilah, a young female lawyer, due to social media images of her either consuming marijuana or being undressed.
According to Newsmen, a young female lawyer named Ifunaya who was admitted to the bar on July 28, 2021, was purportedly suspended by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) due to misconduct, according to an online platform (not this newspaper).
The NBA, in response to the news, refuted the report and insisted that it did not occur.

Since her scandalous images appeared online, Ifunanya has been the center of debate.
She has not received a penalty, the NBA’s leadership revealed in an interview with Newsmen on Wednesday.
The information indicating that an action has been taken is wholly untrue, according to the national publicity secretary, Habeeb Lawal.
“No, we have not suspended her, we have not. However, we will issue a position on the matter,” the spokesperson added.
