The Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, has asserted that Atiku Abubakar won the most recent election as their candidate for president in 2023.

Atiku won the presidential election, according to polling unit results, according to PDP National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba, but Bola Tinubu was declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

In response to Lai Mohammed’s comment that the opposition would lose the 2023 presidential race, Ologunagba said.

The presidential election tribunal is now hearing arguments from both candidates over the election’s results.

Mohammed, though, had urged the opposition to cease ruminating endlessly over the previous election, which they dreadfully lost.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s judgment of why the opposition lost the 2023 presidential election, according to the ministry, is unarguable.

Mohammed’s comment, according to Ologunagba, was intended to intimidate the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, he claimed.

A statement by Ologunagba reads: “The PDP insists that its candidate, Atiku clearly won the February 25, 2023 Presidential election, as shown from the actual votes cast at the Polling Units across the country.

“The PDP describes the subjudice claims by the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, that the opposition lost the election, as yet another in the series of attempts by the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Executive to bully and blackmail the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.

“Nigerians are aware that by the authentic results obtained from the Polling Units, Atiku Abubakar and not the APC candidate met all the conditions stipulated for the winning of the Presidential election.”
