The 2023 Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has come under fire from the All Progressives Congress (APC) for allegedly going beyond in his allegation that the 2023 elections had a stolen mandate.

The APC questioned how someone who finished in a distant third place in the election could declare victory and go around claiming he will regain a stolen mandate through its national publicity secretary, Felix Morka.

Morka claimed in an interview with Arise TV that while Obi believes that everyone is fixated on him, in truth, people have moved on and it is now time for the LP candidate to follow suit.

The APC official stated that Obi should calm down and let his attorneys handle his tribunal matter rather than claiming that the APC is assaulting him or gathering information about his private life.

In addition, Morka claimed that Obi was acting in an overly pious manner for someone who volunteered to enter politics and run for Nigeria’s presidency, noting that winning the presidency of any nation is never an easy task.

The APC spokesperson went on to accuse Obi of using people’s weaknesses for political gain.

The APC’s stance is a direct response to the arguments Peter Obi made in an interview with Arise TV on Monday.
