The capital of Osun State, Osogbo, has a significant police presence at key intersections and roundabouts on Tuesday morning.
Olaiya Junction, Oke-Fia and LAMECO Roundabouts, Old Garage/Freedom Park, Ayetoro Roundabout, Osun State High Court buildings, among other places in the town, have police presence.
The Supreme Court’s decision, which is scheduled to be delivered today in Abuja, may not be unrelated to the presence of the heavily armed police officers.

The Peoples Democratic Party’s Governor Ademola Adeleke and the All Progressives Congress’ Adegboyega Oyetola testified before the Supreme Court about the Osun 2022 gubernatorial election, and the court set today, Tuesday, for its decision.
Ademola Adeleke won the election, however the Osun gubernatorial election tribunal later overturned her victory.
The Appellate Court, however, overturned the tribunal’s decision and ruled that Ademola Adeleke had been legitimately elected as governor of Osun.
