In order to aid its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in his ongoing lawsuit at the Presidential Election Tribunal, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has initiated a weeklong fasting and prayer exercise.
An outdoor Thanksgiving ceremony is slated for May 25, and the prayers are expected to begin on May 18 and end on May 24.
The PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja, is home to the national chapel, where these religious events would be held.

The gatherings are scheduled to start each day at 12 o’clock.
According to Newsmen, the Presidential Election suit Court postponed Atiku’s case till May 18 to allow for a second pre-hearing of the suit against Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the president-elect.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)’s designation of Tinubu as the president-elect is being contested by the PDP and Atiku in the petition designated CA/PEPC/05/2023.
The INEC, Tinubu, and the APC are listed as the petition’s first through third respondents.
Chairman of the PDP Christian Religious Body, Presidential Campaign Council, Boni Haruna, announced the fast, titling the event “At the Supreme Court of Heaven with Chief Justice of Universe.”

The goal of the prayer, according to Haruna, was to “denounce the president-elect of the Independent National Electoral Commission and rescue and recover PDP for Nigeria.”
Romans 8: 33, Psalms 84: 10–11, Proverbs 24: 25–26, and 9: 7–8 will be the biblical verses used for the event.
