Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide’s founder and leader, Prof. Banji Akintoye, has denounced the Yoruba separatist group’s assault of an Ibadan radio station.

This is stated in a statement provided to newsmen on Sunday in Ibadan and signed by Olatunde Amusat, the assistant director of programs at Akintoye.

According to NAN, the separatist gang stormed Amuludun 99.1 FM in Moniya, a community radio station run by the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), on Sunday at around six in the morning.

Akintoye repudiated the group, calling their behavior utterly illegal and criminal.

“Our attention has been drawn to the activities of a group led by a woman, who claimed to be running a totally different agenda for Yoruba emancipation.

“The group has been engaging again and again in criminal activities. The group has been warned repeatedly but has refused to change,” he said.
