The Biafra Zionists Federation, or BZF, has about 30 members who have been detained in Enugu State.
Reporters learned that they had been detained by Enugu State Police Command agents in Enugu’s Michael Okpara Square.
The Biafra Day commemoration brought the protesters to the neighborhood.
BZF Leader Regains Freedom From Prison
Before being hauled up and thrown into three waiting Police Hilux trucks, the Barr Benjamin Onwuka-led group had gathered with stickers, Biafran flags, US and Israeli flags before being transported to state police headquarters in Enugu for questioning.
The message on one of the stickers was, “I Love My Nation Biafra I am proud of Zionist.”
The BZF members had been detained in the Coal City State before.
