President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s announcement that fuel subsidies have been eliminated and the NNPC’s implementation of new rates for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), generally known as gasoline, precede this key discussion.

The increase in petrol prices by the NNPC, which sparked outrage across the nation, was rejected by the labor union, according to news reports from earlier in the day.
