Bright Osayi-Samuel, a defender for the Super Eagles, has drawn interest from English teams, with relegated Leeds United the most recent to join the race for his services, according to ANAEDOONLINE Sports Extra.

The versatile full-back wants to leave Fenerbahce at the conclusion of the season and move back to England, according to Turkish publication Aspor, who reports that there have been recent developments regarding his future.

The Yellow Canaries value the Nigerian defender around €10 million as a result of his strong performances with the Super Eagles.

When the Eagles faced Guinea-Bissau in back-to-back 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying games in March, the 25-year-old was unquestionably the team’s top performer.

ANAEDOONLINE Sports Extra had reported that Fenerbahce were ready to listen to offers for the Nigeria international, whom they signed from Queens Park Rangers in January 2020, for a fee in the region of 0.5m euros.
Relegated Premier League club Leeds are now in the running for the defender, while Bournemouth are in negotiations with Osayi-Samuel’s camp over a possible transfer.

Another Premier League side, Brentford, also tabled €12m for Osayi-Samuel in April.
The defender has some Championship experience, making a combined 109 appearances for Blackpool and Queens Park Rangers in the English second-tier, but has yet to feature in the Premier League.

He has two years left on his Fenerbahce contract and has played in 98 official games for the Istanbul giants, scoring three goals and registering seven assists.
