According to reports, President Bola Tinubu is currently in a private meeting with Ahmed Lawan, President of the Nigerian Senate, and Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Following Tinubu’s initial security meeting with the Service Chiefs, including the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, the meeting is taking place at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.

A new Senate President, Deputy Senate President, Speaker, and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives will all be elected on June 5 following the inauguration of the members of the 10th National Assembly.
The president’s meeting with the national assembly members’ agenda has not yet been made public, although it may be related to the struggle for control of the 10th senate among others.
