10th NASS: Tinubu To Meet PDP, Labour Party, NNPP, Others

Before the 10th National Assembly’s opening on Monday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will meet with senators and representatives from the opposition.

According to news sources, the discussion may be focused on efforts to strengthen a cordial relationship between the Executive and Legislature and to improve the procedure for choosing the National Assembly leadership.

The invitation was signed by Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President, and Tijanni Umar, the Permanent Secretary of the White House.

10th NASS: APC To Select Principal Positions Through Consensus

The parliamentarians were instructed by him to show up and submit their list for security clearance.

President Tinubu would meet with senators by 3 p.m. and House of Representatives members by 5 p.m., according to the invitation given to opposition senators and members-elect.

Godswill Akpabio (South-South) and Barau Jibrin (Northwest) have been appointed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the Senate’s president and vice president, respectively.

The party also supported Ben Kalu (Southeast) and Tajudeen Abbas (Northwest) for the positions of Speaker and Deputy Speaker, respectively.

The Peoples Democratic Party, Labour Party, New Nigeria Peoples Party, and Social Democratic Party are among of the organizations that make up the opposition in the National Assembly.
