The Federal Government, led by President Bola Tinubu, has declared that it will take into account the list of demands from the Trade Union Congress (TUC), which includes the minimum wage.
According to news sources, the current administration announced this during its meeting at State House, Abuja, with the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC).
After a roughly three-hour meeting between the Federal administration and the TUC, Dele Alake, a spokeswoman for the Federal Government, told State House reporters that the administration would also consider the viability of the demands.

In order to obtain a mutually agreeable solution, he stated that the President, Bola Tinubu, will firstly establish a tripartite committee that will comprise states, organized labor, and the business sector.
The NLC’s demand for a reassessment of the minimum wage or a return to the status quo, he continued, is not in dispute, and the FG representatives will meet with the President to finalize decisions on the requests.
The parties agreed to meet again on Tuesday, 24 hours before a scheduled meeting, so the NLC’s absence from the dialogue does not mean that the group is isolated, he continued, adding that the FG is making efforts to contact them.
The TUC has continued to demand that the Federal Government reverse the fuel price while talks are ongoing in the interest of social dialogue.

Festus Osifo, the president of the TUC, expressed optimism on behalf of the union because the Federal Government has committed to looking into their demands, the most important of which is a review of the present minimum wage.
