Senator Ali Ndume of Borno South Federal Constituency proposed Senator Godswill Akpabio for Senate President, which was seconded by Senator-elect Olamilekan Yayi.
Senator Elisha Abbo of Adamawa North proposed Abdulaziz Yari for Senate President, and Yari’s nomination was seconded by Senator Ibrahim Jimoh.
