Imo APC Members Died In Auto Crash While Travelling To Abuja

Tragically, APC lawmakers from Imo State who were traveling to Abuja for the opening of the 10th National Assembly on Tuesday perished in a car accident yesterday.

It was learned that in Agbor in Delta State, the bus they were riding in collided head-on with another bus.
Three people in the bus had been confirmed deceased, according to multiple sources, while others who had suffered various degrees of injuries were sent to hospitals, according to newsmen.

In the car accident, two men from the Amaraku village in the state’s Isiala Mbano Local Government Area and a woman from the Ogbor community in the same council perished.

A chieftain of the party, who doesn’t want to be mentioned, said that the victims were the coordinators of the senator-elect for Imo North, Patrick Ndubueze, and the House of Representatives member-elect for Okigwe North Federal Constituency, Mirriam Onuoha.
When contacted, the spokesperson for the APC in the state, Cajetan Duke, confirmed the development.

Describing the incident as “sad,” the party’s spokesperson said that only two persons had been confirmed dead by the party.
