Hilda Baci, a Nigerian chef, has responded to the lawsuit threat issued by an Abuja-based organisation after publicly denying knowledge of their planned event.
According to news reports, Hilda refuted accusations a few days ago that she was charging people in Abuja 25,000 Naira to see her culinary skills.
Baci cancelled the’meet and greet’ session in a social media post, stressing that she did not ask anyone to spend such a large sum of money.

She said: “Hi everyone. This is to inform everyone that I’m not doing any meet and greet in Abuja. I would also never ask anyone to pay for such.”
However, the event’s organizers have approached Hilda with claims and proof of payment for the event.
They claimed that both parties agreed to publish an event publication and that an advance payment was provided to the famous chef.
The event organizers stated that Hilda’s actions had a negative impact on their brand and that they would take all necessary steps to ensure that justice was served.
In reaction to the allegations, the Akwa-Ibom-born chef emphasized to her admirers on Monday night via her verified social media handle that the money paid by the event organizers was reimbursed after she became unhappy with the charging arrangements.

She also stated that she had informed the organizers of her intention to withdraw from the agreement in the hopes that the fliers would not be posted on their platform. Despite her refusal to participate in their planned event, they went forward with it.
