On Wednesday in Abuja, the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) admitted as evidence three sets of papers made by a group of statisticians on the electoral forms used in the previous presidential election.

The reports were presented to the court by renowned statistician Samuel Oduntan in support of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s case challenging Bola Tinubu as the victor of the February 25 presidential election.

Despite objections from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Tinubu, and the All Progressives Congress (APC), the three reports were admitted as exhibits by the court’s presiding justice, Justice Haruna Simon Tsammani.

Aside from challenging the admission of the records, the three counsels also opposed having the reports read aloud in open court.

Meanwhile, Justice Tsammani has scheduled a hearing on the case for June 15, specifically for the witness’s cross-examination.
