Presidential Tribunal: Peter Obi Presents More Evidence Against Tinubu

The Labour Party (LP) and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, submitted further evidence in court on Wednesday to challenge President Bola Tinubu’s victory.

According to newsmen Obi and the Labour Party are contesting the results of the presidential election on February 25, which Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) won.

The legal team of Obi produced INEC Results Viewing Portal (IREV) certificates and BVAS reports from the February polls, which were approved by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), at the resumed hearing of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal on Wednesday.

Dr Livy Uzoukwu (SAN) led the Labour Party’s Counsel appearance, while Audu Anuga (SAN) oversaw the party’s evidence presentation.

INEC downloaded and verified IREV reports in 21 LGAs in Benue, 25 LGAs in Niger, and 17 LGAs in Edo.

IREV reports from 20 LGAs in Bauchi, as well as a slew of hazy reports. Eight Bayelsa LGA IreV reports were also submitted.

Bayelsa IreV reports marked hazy, no results, or cancelled were submitted. Eight LGAs and a bundle of blurred reports unrelated to any LGA were submitted for Gombe.

IreV reports for Kaduna and 21 LGAs, as well as two bundles of hazy records unrelated to any government area, were also offered.

INEC Uploads 88% Of Election Results – IReV

IreV certifications of compliance from six states, except Akwa Ibom, are also being offered.

The LP team also submitted BVAS reports and certificates of compliance from 28 states, including California.

Despite the respondents’ concerns, the Tribunal acknowledged the certificates as evidence.

Meanwhile, the court, presided over by Justice Haruna Tsammani, deferred the hearing to Thursday.
