The Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Abubakar Suleiman, has been chosen to serve another term.
On Tuesday, he was unopposed in his reelection.
Suleiman is a member of the Ningi Central Constituency and the recently-retired Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria.
Jamilu Barade, a representative for Bauchi city, was also chosen to serve as the House’s deputy speaker.
At the opening of the 10th Assembly of the House, which is now taking place at the Assembly Complex in Bauchi, they were both elected.
