Toni Kroos, a midfielder for Real Madrid, has agreed to an additional year of employment till June 30, 2024, the Spanish team said on Wednesday.
The 33-year-old German will now compete for Los Blancos in his 10th season.
He has 20 championships, including four Champions Leagues, in 417 games for the club.
The most successful German player of all time is the World Cup champion from 2014, who retired from international play in 2021.

Madrid, who lost their European championship to Manchester City and their Spanish championship to Barcelona FC in the most recent season, are reviving their roster, but Kroos’ experience is crucial.
