Kenneth Okonkwo, a Labour Party (LP) chieftain, has once again chastised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over the outcome of the 2023 general elections.
The actor-turned-politician referred to INEC’s leadership as ‘devils.’
He also chastised Hudu Yunusa-Ari, the suspended Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of Adamawa State, for controversially declaring a winner in the state’s supplemental 2023 gubernatorial election while vote counting was still ongoing until INEC intervened.

If the Adamawa REC is a Demon, then the INEC leadership is the Devil, according to Okonkwo.
The LP chieftain’s comment is part of his response to the electoral umpire’s defense of the technical fault that hampered the upload of the 2023 presidential election results to its Result Viewing Portal (IReV).
As previously reported by Newsmen, INEC spokesperson Festus Okoye stated on Channels TV on Thursday night that the technical fault that hampered the upload of the 2023 presidential election results on its Result Viewing Portal (IReV) should not be used to judge the entire election.
This comes as the electoral board denied wasting taxpayer money due to the failure to upload real-time results.
Okoye also stated that the Police had completed their investigation into the Adamawa REC and that INEC would shortly begin the prosecution.

But in response to the submissions, Okonkwo said via his Twitter account: “It’s unfortunate that in addition to the failure of INEC to do its duties in accordance with the law, Festus Okoye is lying on top of it. Okoye revealed that Adamawa REC may soon be charged to court, but till date nobody has been held responsible for not transmitting and uploading presidential results.
“With incompetent and dishonest people like this in INEC, it will be difficult for us to make progress in Nigeria. If Adamawa REC is a demon, INEC leadership in Abuja are Devils.”
