Bayo Onanuga, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, has asked security services to summon famous Nigerian singer Charles Oputa, often known as Charly Boy.
According to news sources, this comes after a Labour Party (LP) supporter in Nigeria advocated for insurgency and violence.
On Saturday, the political activist turned actor called on ‘special’ Nigerian teenagers to revolt against the country via his Instagram page.
France Riot: You Must Reject The System – Charly Boy Asks Nigerian Youths To Protest
Charly Boy was inspired by the unrest in France, where there have been days of rioting following the death of a 17-year-old boy by a police officer.
He captioned a video of the raging arson in Paris, “This isn’t Syria, Iraq, or Afghanistan.” This is France, where 9% of the population has brought down entire cities.
“Karma from Africa? Am waiting on the exceptional Nigerian Youths to reject a system that let dem down. Una destiny dey una hand”
In response, Bayo Onanuga stated on his Twitter page that it is irresponsible for Charly Boy to advise youths to participate in violence.
He went on to say that security should immediately bring the singer to order.
