According to Simon Ekpa, a popular Biafra agitator and separatist, 70 million Igbos are hopeful that President Bola Ahmed Tinibu will free the Leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

Ekpa, the lawyer living in Finland and Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile, announced on Friday via his official Twitter handle that the weeklong sit-in has been peaceful.

He claims that Igbos voluntarily observe the sit-in because of the Biafra Referendum.
