May, the first wife of actor Yul Edochie, is said to have started divorce proceedings against her estranged spouse.
According to Newsmen, May’s lawyer went to court today, July 10, to file a petition for the divorce of her 18-year marriage to the actor.
According to LIB sources, Yul has refused to be served with the originating summons.
The devastated mother stormed the courtroom just days after paying tribute to her late son, Kambili, on social media.

May and Yul had been at odds before to her son’s murder over his decision to accept his colleague cum wife Judy Austin as a second wife and welcome a kid with her.
Yul announced the birth of a son with Judy in April 2022.
May, who has never hidden her displeasure with her husband’s union with Judy, issued a statement in September 2022 claiming that no one should be forced to accept polygamy because it is a choice.
She emphasized that some religions and cultures permit polygamy and that she has nothing against it, but that as a person, she will not be counted or cajoled into accepting a behavior that contradicts her beliefs and family values.
Yul has recently been extensively chastised on social media for’moving on so rapidly’ following the death of his first son, Kambilichukwu, who died unexpectedly in March.

Some Nigerians believe that videos of him and Judy having fun together, which he routinely shares online, indicate that he has moved on. They claim he hasn’t grieved his son long enough to be sharing such ‘happy videos’ of himself and Judy.
