Simon Ekpa, a popular Biafra agitator and separatist, has accused Southeast governors and leaders of failing to live up to expectations in the wake of the region’s recent wave of insecurity.

Ekpa, a lawyer based in Finland and self-proclaimed Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile, announced this on Thursday via his official Twitter handle.

According to news reports, southeast governors, Ohaneze Ndigbo, and other regional leaders met on Wednesday in the Imo State Governor’s lodge to discuss strategies to combat insecurity.

Ekpa emphasized that Southeast leaders should quit acting like ostriches when it comes to the causes of instability in the region.

He also cautioned against acts that could lead to an escalation of hostilities in the region.

“We have observed that the so-called Southeast governors and leaders continue to display the highest level of irresponsibility by threatening Biafrans against peaceful civil disobedience. They have refused to address why Biafrans are sitting at home,” he wrote.
