10 Die In Crash, FRSC Recovers N60,750 In Kwara

The Jebba-Bode Saadu-Ilorin Expressway is located in the Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State. On Thursday, at least 10 people died in a car accident in Ile Pupa.

According to information obtained by our journalist, the incident was brought on by improper overtaking and speeding.

Seven male adults, one female adult, and two female children perished in the collision, according to information obtained by City Round, which involved three automobiles.

The collision reportedly included 17 people and occurred at 6.30 p.m., according to a statement released by the Federal Road Safety Corps on Friday.

According to the first information report of the FRSC, the three vehicles involved in the accident were one petroleum tanker, a Toyota Corolla driven by one Oladokun Waheed, and a Volkswagen Sharon minibus.

Four Killed, Others Injured In Auto Crash – FRSC

Speaking on the incident, the FRSC Sector Commander, Frederick Ogidan, said a total sum of N60,750 was recovered from the scene of the crash.

He noted that survivors of the crash sustained varying degrees of injury, adding that the injured were taken to the Shalom Hospital, Bode Saadu, while the dead were deposited in the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital’s mortuary.
“Motorists are advised to be cautious of the way they speed and overtake wrongfully. FRSC Kwara will commence another round of enforcement on speed violation and overloading from Monday, July 17, 2023, as we cannot tolerate a situation where 10 lives are lost in a single crash,” he added.
