Aloy Ejimakor, the special counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has begged President Bola Tinubu to keep his pledge to negotiate with the agitator.

According to news reports, Tinubu vowed during his presidential campaign to negotiate with all agitators in the Southeast during the Biafra agitation led by Kanu.

He insisted that people should use discussion rather than violence to get their demands and concerns met.

Speaking on the campaign pledge, Ejimakor stated that negotiating with a man in chains is unnatural and asked for Kanu’s release.

He stated that similar tactics were utilized in other countries such as South Africa, India, and the United States when dealing with agitators.

Tweeting, Ejimakor wrote, “Mr President: It’s time to fulfill your promise to NEGOTIATE the agitation. But it’s unnatural to negotiate with a man in CHAINS. The first step is to free the man. That’s how they negotiated with Mandela, Gandhi & Martin Luther. Mr President: Again, #FreeMNK. Thank you.”
