Tinubu Assures Nigerians On Subsidy Removal, Foreign Exchange of Positive Result

President Bola Tinubu has stated that his policies on fuel subsidies and foreign exchange have begun to generate beneficial effects.

According to the President, the Federal Government has already garnered global support and commendation for these programs.

The president announced this over the weekend at a Gala/Award Night event hosted by the Federation’s Office of the Head of Civil Service (HOCSF).

According to Anaedoonline.ng, the President declared the end of the fuel subsidy system and, as a result, the depreciation of the naira in his inaugural speech on May 29.

Tinubu, who was represented by Senator George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, thanked civil servants for their numerous contributions to the country’s economic development.

He did, however, recognize that the policies had caused widespread hardship, but he vowed that help would arrive shortly.

“We shall without delay cushion the pains being experienced by our people as a result of these measures through a number of well-targeted interventions aimed at giving adequate relief and succour to a great number of our long-suffering citizens, ” he said.

He did, however, promise to give additional assistance to the civil service sector as the guardian of public confidence in order to consolidate the advantages of the industry’s ongoing reforms.
