Thousands of Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the new national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, and his traveling supporters flocked to the party’s national offices on Thursday afternoon in anticipation of his arrival.
Cheerful fans were spotted dancing and chanting around the secretariat while wearing unique campaign shirts made for Babaringa and matching caps.

Senator Ajibola Basiru, a former governor of Kano, was formally confirmed to take over as the ninth Senate’s spokesperson in place of Abdullahi Adamu, the previous national chairman, and Iyiola Omisore, the previous national secretary.
The choice was made just a short time after President Bola Tinubu arrived at Thursday’s NEC meeting location, the Transcorp Hilton.
Following the news of their appointments, Ganduje and Basiru’s fans celebrated wildly, nearly temporarily interrupting the show.
