Daniel Bwala, an adviser to Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has made fun of President Bola Tinubu for the sheer volume of his cabinet nominations.

Bwala bemoaned the increased number of aides that would be in President Tinubu’s cabinet in a message posted on his Twitter account on Friday.

The PDP chieftain made a comparison between America and Nigeria, saying that while the United States, one of the richest nations in the world, has a small number of cabinet members, Nigeria, one of the poorest, should be reducing the cost of government, has already nominated 49 ministers, not counting other aides who would still join them.

Atiku To Take Over From Tinubu In Six To Seven Months Time – Bwala

Bwala made fun of the Tinubu administration by claiming that the Federal Executive Council (FEC) sessions would require use of the Eagle Square of National Stadium rather than the council chambers of the presidential palace.

“The US as the largest economy, military and possibly states (50) on earth, has a total of 24 cabinet members, 15 are ministers referred to as secretaries, nine are SAs referred to as non-secretary cabinet members. Nigeria as one of the poorest counties in the world with 36 states has 49 ministers and still counting; 22 SAs and still counting. As it stands today the council chambers seats would not contain FEC meeting. They may need to use the eagle square or national stadium for FEC meetings. That’s how our hopes are being renewed.” Bwala tweeted.
