Former legislator Daniel Bwala has pleaded with President Bola Tinubu to get involved in the issue of EFCC Chairman Abdulrasheed Bawa, who is now on suspension.

According to Bwala, Bawa did not attempt to topple the government as part of his crime.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain bemoaned the pattern of arresting, detaining, and humiliating the anti-graft boss in a post on his verified social media account on Sunday.

Atiku To Take Over From Tinubu In Six To Seven Months Time – Bwala

He wrote, “I appeal to Mr President to intervene in the case involving Abdulrasheed Bwala, the EFCC Chair. Whatever he is being investigated, I believe non (sic) involves attempt to over throw the government. This pattern of arresting, detaining and humiliating Anti-graft boss whilst the suspects become ministers and lawmakers will eventually kill the very institution of the EFCC.”
