JUST IN: Unknown Gunmen Set Ablaze Reps Member’s House In Anambra

Paschal Agbodike, a member of the House of Representatives who represents the Ihiala Federal Constituency, had his home attacked by some perpetrators who have not yet been named.

According to reports, the thugs broke into the home in Ubahi-Mbosi in the Ihiala Local Government Area at around one in the morning on Tuesday and began shooting randomly before lighting the compound on fire.

Agbodike was also a former Anambra State House of Assembly deputy speaker, and the incident occurred in his hometown.

No one was hurt, but the thugs completely levelled the house, a five-bedroom duplex with four living rooms and a kitchen that was fully furnished.

The legislator stated he was alerted about the incident over the phone and afterwards confirmed it to journalists.

When the attack happened, he was in Abuja performing legislative duties, and he added that the criminals had already left before security personnel arrived.

He omitted to say if he had any suspicions about anyone or if the incident had any political undertones.
