President Bola Tinubu has been forewarned against assaulting the Niger Republic by Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, the leader of the Nigerian Islamic Movement.
El-Zakzaky claimed that France and the US were attempting to attack the Niger Republic through Nigeria.
According to history, Tinubu should realise that Nigeria and the Niger Republic are one, he said, adding that this action was startling.
He emphasised that Tinubu should rethink his criticism on the Niger Republic.

El-Zakzaky detailed the two countries’ shared history in a statement he signed.
According to him: “All of a sudden, France and the US want to use Nigeria to attack Niger.
“This is very shocking given the fact that Nigeria and Niger are one people.
“It was the territories of such empires that were carved out to create Niger and Nigeria.”
On Tuesday, Niger’s junta turned down the latest diplomatic mission from African countries.
