Anambra State’s well-known businessman and former gubernatorial candidate Dr. Chike Obidigbo has been a prominent voice in the present Igbo community unrest.
In reaction to the contentious remarks made by former Niger Delta insurgent commander Asari Dokubo in an interview with a national publication, THE SUN, Dr. Obidigbo issued a thought-provoking challenge.

Dokubo allegedly pushed for the right of Ndigbo to decide how they would coexist in Nigeria going forward. Instead of simply dismissing Dokubo’s remarks, Dr. Obidigbo posed the important question of whether Dokubo truly supports his cause or is solely motivated by self-interest, which may include the inheritance of abandoned Igbo properties.
In response to Dr. Obidigbo’s challenge to Asari Dokubo to gather one million signatures in support of his objective, Dr. Obidigbo suggested that Dokubo may be thinking about the Igbo estates that would be deemed abandoned and the quantity of such he will inherit. He will be motivated to keep collecting the one million signatures required to kick Ndigbo and her neighbours out of Nigeria.
