After taking a five-year vacation from the film industry, seasoned Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji will soon return to the big screen.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, Genevieve is making a comeback with a film version of the much praised novel “I Do Not Come To You By Chance” by Adaobi Tricia Nwaubani.

In the movie, a young man must take all necessary measures to make sure his family never goes hungry.

The film highlights the lengths he will go to defend those he loves and is set in the dangerous world of Nigerian email scams.

In 2010, Nwaubani’s literary masterpiece was honoured with the prestigious Betty Trask First Book Award and the distinguished Commonwealth Writers Prize for Best First Book (Africa).

It also made the “Best Books of the Year” list in The Washington Post, which is a distinction. In the film adaptation, Nnaji collaborates with co-executive producer Chinny Carter to bring this gripping story to life.

To bring this compelling story to life, the seasoned actress is working with co-executive producer Chinny Carter.

Blossom Chukwujekwu and Paul Nnadiekwe, two Nollywood actors, both play important roles in the cast.

The 44-year-old Nollywood diva’s most recent film, Lionheart, which was released on Netflix in 2018, was both produced and starred in.
