Anambra Police Urge Owners Of Recovered Stolen Tricycles To Come For Collection

According to Anambra State police officials, they have found multiple tricycles that had recently been stolen by thieves.

Owners of tricycles, often known as “Kekes,” were urged by the authorities to visit their office to see if their tricycles were among those found.

In Anambra State, the rate of tricycle theft has recently increased in both urban and rural regions.

DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, a spokesperson for the Anambra State Police Command, stated in a news release that more than 12 tricycles had recently been recovered from criminals.

He said, “This is to inform the good people of Anambra State that the Police at Harbour Division, in Ogbaru LGA, during the course of several operations in the last one month have recovered the underlisted tricycles, suspected to have been stolen.

“Owners are requested to come forward with valid proof of ownership to claim their property.”

The command gave the registration numbers of the recovered tricycles to include: NKK 170 UR, KTU 315 QD, NSH 178 VC, UMI 281 QV, GAS 830 WU, ACA 344 QM, TTK 287 WZ, ABB 215 QA, AGU 105 UD, UKP 114 QR, UWN 544 QH and ATMC 420525.

The State Police Command is committed to making sure that stolen property is not only recovered but also returned to its rightful owners in order to lessen the sense of deprivation that victims of such crimes experience, the Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, reassured members of the public.
