Terrorists Kidnap Nigerian Air Force Officer, Demand N10 Million Ransom

ACM Shuaibu Umar Bashir, an officer in the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), has reportedly been abducted by terrorists.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, the NAF officer was abducted while returning to his station to resume duty along Birnin Gwari Road in Niger State.

According to Bashir’s relatives, who confirmed the event to Newsmen, the terrorists demanded N10 million in ransom and gave the family three days to pay.

According to a family source who spoke to the platform, the terrorists abducted ACM Bashir as he was returning to his post to resume his duties. However, the military and NAF authorities have resisted talking to the family about the situation.

The NAF authorities have not yet released an official comment regarding the issue, however this platform has learned that the NAF officer was allegedly abducted on Sunday.

A family source disclosed that “The NAF authorities and the military have refused to engage with his family. He was going back to his station to resume his duty. He had been mobilised to Niger State. But he was kidnapped along Birnin Gwari Road in Niger State.”

While another source also noted that “He was kidnapped on Sunday, and the military appears not to be acting enough to get him out.”
