Dr. Betta Edu, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, announced that the ministry would shortly begin social registration verification in order to ensure fair distribution of gasoline subsidy relief.
This was revealed by Edu on Friday during a Channels Television interview that Newsmen was watching.
She stated that the distribution of the palliatives would start soon by the government.
She claimed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration places a high priority on reducing poverty.

She continued by saying that the government would provide jobs to reduce poverty.
“We are starting with the Verification of the social registrar to ensure that it is truly made of people who deserve the fund. We will be creating humanitarian jobs.
“The ministry would be distributing palliatives to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal.
“We will be very transparent to Nigerians; the target is to lift 133 million Nigerians by 2030”, he stated.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Edu promised to work hard to help 133 million Nigerians escape poverty upon taking office again on Monday.
