In advance of the judgement from the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, which is slated on Wednesday, Joe Igbokwe, a leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has accused some broadcasting outlets of fostering ethnic tensions.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, the APC leader urged the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON) to take action against stations that spread misleading information and incitement on Monday evening via his social media page.

Shortly after the Presidential Election Tribunal declared that it would permit the live broadcast of its proceedings after designating Wednesday, September 6, as the date to deliver the final ruling on the petitions contesting President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election, Igbokwe made demands of the regulating body.
