American rapper Kanye West is the dream collaborator of award-winning Nigerian vocalist Ahmed Ololade, also known as Asake.

The singer of “Omo Ope” revealed this in a conversation with Billboard News.
The singer claimed that in order for him to collaborate on a song with any artist, he must feel a connection to them and their music.
“For me, I have to like the person before I can make music with them,” Asake stated. I need to feel at ease around you. not even as a result of the music.

“I’m not denying that I can collaborate on songs with others, but I like actual energy.

If you like me beyond the music, it’s good. But I need to connect with your music, I need to like the person I want to work with first so it won’t be a problem for me. There must be synergy.

“I have been saying this thing since; maybe God will do it. I will like to work with Kanye [West].”

On the huge explosion of the afrobeats genre globally, he said “It is like you having a baby and your baby is growing. You know, you feel good when you have something around you and the thing is growing.
“In a couple of years, it [afrobeats] will be bigger.”

Recall Asake swooped two awards at the recently held 16th Headies, emerging winner in the Next Rated category and Album of the Year.
