EFCC Arrests 41 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Delta State: Seizes Exotic Cars, Phones, and Laptops

In a significant operation, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended 41 individuals suspected of involvement in internet fraud in Warri, Delta State. Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, the spokesman for the commission, revealed this development in Abuja, stating that the arrests were made by the Benin office of the EFCC.

During the operation, a substantial amount of evidence was seized from the suspects. Mr. Uwujaren provided a list of items recovered, which included eight luxurious cars. Among these vehicles were two Toyota Venza cars, one Range Rover, one Lexus EX 350, two Lexus RX350s, one Toyota Camry, one Mercedes Benz C300, and a Mercedes Benz GLK.

In addition to the vehicles, authorities also confiscated a significant number of mobile phones and laptops believed to be linked to their alleged fraudulent activities.

These arrests and seizures are part of the ongoing efforts by the EFCC to combat cybercrimes and internet fraud in Nigeria. The suspects will face prosecution in accordance with the law, as the EFCC continues its mission to maintain the integrity of financial systems and protect the public from online scams.
